Centro Historico. The historical center is included between the Fortress Aldobrandesca and the Cathedral, monuments that symbolize the feudal power of the Aldobrandeschi and the spiritual of the Bishops.

Rocca Aldobrandesca. It was built around the xii century and it represented the main residence of the Aldobrandeschi.

Palace Pretorio. The palace goes back to the XII-XIII century and was restored from the of senesi after the conquest of Sovana. Its facade is rich of senesi  and medicei coats of arms. To the inside of the Archeological museum they objects of the neighboring necropoli find themselves and a rich medieval collection of ceramics. 

Palace Comunale o dell'Archivio. The palace goes back to the centuries XII-XIII, to the period in which the town founding of the citizen reached the greatest brightness. 

Church of San Mamiliano. The more ancient church of the town, considered the first cathedral. It was built on the restive of an etruscan building and then Roman. 

Church of Santa Maria. The church, realized between the XII and the XIII century, preserve an architecture romanica with some gothic features. To the center of the presbiterio a rare ciborio is placed preromanico (VIII-IX century), sole example of whom it is had knowledge in Tuscany. 

Cathedral. Cathedral of ancient origins (IX-XI sec.) broadened in the XII-XIII sec. with a building assigned to Episcopal Palace. Valuable the sculptural making on frames, portals, capitals and wall it. The architecture is a mixed one between romanico and gothic. 

Palace Bourbon dell Monte. 

Necropoli Etruscan of Sovana. It is an of the most important etruscan necropoli of the ancient Etruria and it offers a large one will vary of graves (to room, to cube, to newsstand, to pit, to temple) in a maze of "vie cave" dug in the rock (cavone, San Sebastiano). It includes to its time three necropoli: Poggio Prisca, Sopraripa and Folonia. The most significant monument is the grave Ildebranda, so called in honor of Pope Gregorio VII, native of Sovana. Other important graves are: the Siren, the Typhoon and the Pola.
